My first crunch time for the current game I’m working on. Woo!

So yesterday, the receptionist comes around my desk at work and hands me my mail, an Allure magazine. I’m like, wth? It has my name on it, and my work address, but I didn’t order this magazine. So now I’m wondering if someone at work is hinting at me dress girlier… >.>;;

Well, today was my first wedding gig as Ahmed’s newbie coworker assistant. It was quite fun and I learned a lot about wedding photography. I’m currently looking over what I shot, and some are hits, some are misses, and some are just embarrassing. I even rented a lens for the event, Nikon ED AF-S Nikkor 28-70mm f:2.8D. Freakin’ sweet lens. Freakin’ expensive lens. I think I’m gonna save up for a Nikon D300 and just rent the nice lens when I need it until I have enough money to buy my own. When I do save up enough money to buy a new camera body, I’m probably going to be crying, having to drop $1700 just like that…

I went to my first yoga class at 24 Hour Fitness with my coworker Kaori. It was fun, but I realized that I’m not as in shape as I originally thought. :x

After talking with several of my friends and coworkers, we all pretty much agreed that AX 2008 wasn’t as great as AX 2007. Convention operations was wonderful, so it’s definitely not that. Someone said the venue, I’m inclined to disagree. Yes, driving in that area sucks. Trying to get food outside the convention sucks. But inside the place, it’s awesome. I’m thinking it’s because the special guests for this year is rather “unknown”. Well, unknown to me. I suppose most of my friends that went to the con were more casual enthusiast of anime like myself. Real world does take up all free time to do other things (like watch anime).

Going to AX today. Getting ready. Gotta pack camera gear. I’m going to test out my new lens on people today. It’s been mostly landscape and rabbits before, but today it’s going to be people! Woohoo! I gave up helping my cowoker with a wedding to go to AX so I better get good pictures! ….

So the bunnies have been very naughty, chewing and tearing up the carpet. They do it in areas where I won’t notice immediately, like behind large objects or the door. Naturally, I’m not happy about this, but it’s not behavior that I can easily control. However, I can do something to keep their access to the carpet to a bare minimum. So this past Saturday/Sunday, I covered the floor with heavy duty canvas cloth and weighed the corners and edges down with 6“ octagonal bricks. At first, Hoji and Sen were a bit bewildered at their new surroundings, but I think they’re getting used to it. I haven’t noticed any attempts to chew up the canvas yet so that’s a plus.

I’m in the living room on my Macbook trying to escape the heat of my room. Gah.

I’ve been making my parents the negi buta muffin. They’re liking it. Success! ^_^.v After my third (or is it forth) attempt I finally got the cooking temperature right and it wasn’t super burned like the previous ones were. There’s a new Kyou no Ryouri magazine out, so I need to see if Kaede Shobo has any yet.

I got a new lens today. Nothing fancy. I thought it was high time I got a good lens for taking portraits of people. The depth of field on the lens is sick. And when I say sick, I don’t mean puking gross yuckiness, but freakin’ awesome I’m-in-love-with-an-inanimate-object sweetness. Seriously.

I bought Metal Gear Solid 4. Installed it, and then shut it down to play FFXI instead. >.>; I’ll get around to checking out the art and stuff in MGS4 this weekend…

Hyper Game still didn’t get any copies of Wii Fit. :\ I might have to buy from Best Buy or something.
