No More Band, Sadness

The men’s team lost last night. It was pretty cool that they got all the way to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, Long Beach State was just too powerful. That and the ref sucks. I did my best to cheer on the team since the cheerleader’s don’t.

Ugh, I don’t like our cheerleaders. It seems they forgot the cheerleading part of cheerleading. They also seem to be out of tempo from the band and the CIA. The CIA doesn’t know how to follow either. If the band sets up the cheer, don’t start cheering at a different tempo. Idiots.

I miss band already. *sniff* ;_;

Laura’s Bday, UCI loses against Long Beach State, and Watercolor Paining

Several things in this update.

Laura’s birthday was on the first. I bought her a card and wrote some random stuff. I don’t know what she wants so I didn’t get her anything. The only thing I can think of that would be useful is a new laptop, but I’m not anywhere rich enough to just drop $2k. :( I told her that I’ll take her out to dinner this Saturday, which is today now (sleepy).

Also on the first was the last men’s basketball game I’ll probably be seeing for the rest of this season. My throat is still funny from all the shouting and chanting that I did on Thursday. U-C-I ZOT! Mmm, but no matter how much encouragement I shouted the Anteaters lost by 5 sucktastic points. Eric said that Irvine would lose and he was right, dammit. I wish I could go to the Big West Tournament, but I’ve got work… Maybe if the workload isn’t too hard, I can’t get a day off…

Today (technically yesterday now), I started watercolor painting again. I haven’t painted in a long time, so I thought something simple would be good. I picked the iPod my sister gave me for Christmas as my subject. It’s coming out fairly decent. I want to keep it as a quick sketch (painting?), so I’ll add a few more touches and call it done. THEN I’ll start on something a bit more complex. Gotta build up. ^_^

Ghost Rider is Cheesy!

Yes! And I totally love it! I finally was able to go see Ghost Rider today. Dave thought it was terrible, I liked it. I’m into terribly cheesy movies like that. The only thing I didn’t like was NIcholas Cage cast as the main hero of the movie.

Hmm, for lunch we had PF Chang’s before the movie. It’s such white washed Asian food. Tastes yummy, but somehow… off…

After the movie, we walked around the mall. Looked at clothing. I bought a new hat from the Gap for $7. Totally cute. :) More walking around, looked at the games in Gamestop. Sniffed the perfume at the Body Shop while Dave ran somewhere far away from the store. Ate cookies, looked at stuff at Brookstone and then walked back.

In the evening, I ended up playing with Hayley while Laura and Franklin moved the china cupboard to Laura’s house. Hayley is too adorable. For dinner it was at El Pollo Inka. Yummy. :9 Now I have more leftovers. :x

How I Miss Anteater Basketball

So I was finally able to go to a UC Irvine basketball game yesterday. It was a fun game with the usual band music, the aggressive taunting, and some ass kicking from the Anteater team. ^^. v It seems the UC Davis coach had a hissy fit a few weeks back, kicking chairs and waste baskets all over the place so band had a bunch of folding chairs and waste baskets that had “KICK ME COACH” signs on them. We would wave that and the Cow Poly cows during the UCD’s free throw shots in the 2nd half of the game. It was definitely very fun. ^^

Errands Around Torrance

First day of my two week comp time and I spent it running around doing some errands. Not a bad way to spend the day, but I think I could have, should have, done more during the day. If you don’t want to read about my uneventul day or don’t want to get grossed out, I suggest you stop right now. Seriously. It’s boring and gross on various levels.

First thing I needed to do was buy some timothy hay for Shinta. I think he seriously needs it. He’s still having problems and I think that’s affecting his hopping skills. Laura put a linen blanket down to help hold up Shinta’s feet, but I think it ended causing more problems than good because he would pee into the blanket and that would get his bum all wet with urine. Yuck!

Next thing I needed to do was eat! Yes, eat some food. So I hopped on over to Chipotle and got myself a vegetarian burrito bowl. Yum. :9

After I was nice and full (maybe too full) I had to exchange a binder thingy I bought at OfficeMax because it was broken. The girl behind the register was kind enough to let me exchange it without showing the receipt, which probably saved me 2 minutes, yeay! Next door, there was one PS3 in the Best Buy cage. I took a picture of it so I can go claim my $1,300. (Yeah, right!)

I was going to go home at that point, but then I remembered that Shinta needed some fresh greens and I wanted some yogurt. Since the gym was next to Whole Foods, I decided to get some exercise before I bought food. Yeah… I’m really out of shape. My weight back in October was at 145 lbs. My weight now is at 155 lbs. Boo! Worse yet, my heart beat shot up to past the cardio range in less than two minutes…. on the lowest level. >_<;

So now I’m tired. And really gassy. I drank some whole organic lactose-full milk. I wanted to see how it tasted so I bought a bottle. It was yummy. It gave me diarrhea, which has now been downgraded to gas.

Around 7 pm, Laura came over and we washed Shinta’s butt clean. Gave him a trim, and Laura cleaned around his —–… Ew. Again, ew. The stuff we do for this rabbit.

Nooo, now the internet went down at my house… ;_;

Comp Time, Woot!

So it’s finally that time of the game cycle again where I get to chill and relax at home. Yesterday and especially today sucked at work in terms of being productive. I had to harass Edwin to give me bugs to fix from his plate. The last three issues he couldn’t give me for various reasons. Dave got his comp time a few minutes before I got mine. :x He told me he got put on comp time starting tomorrow (Tuesday) and then one of the producers called me into his office. My first response is always, I didn’t do it. Only because it’s kinda funny. >.>; So I get 14 days off. That’s 1 week short of what I was hoping, but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose…

My plantar fasciitis is back, but this time, it’s in my right foot instead of my left. >_<; I’m icing it as I write, and I’m thinking Advil looks mighty yummy right now. I think I’m going to buy another foot brace so I’ll have one for each foot. I know I’m going to need them when I go to Japan in April.
