I went shopping at Asahiya Bookstore at the Marukai in Torrance and as I was passing by the magazines, I did a double take. When did I get on the cover of a Japanese magazine?! Looking closer, it was someone else who resembled me on the cover of Hiragana Times.
Cleaning!!
So far I have cleaned my bath tub (the bleach fumes started to get to me) and my fish tank. I took a break in between those two to watch Stranger Than Fiction. Good movie. Next, I think I’ll clean my bathroom sink area and mayhaps mop the floor. ^_^.v
Freshia Smells Like Sesame Seed Oil
I decided to visit the new super market on the corner of Crenshaw and Torrance Boulevards on my way home from work tonight. As soon as I walk in, I am assaulted by the smell of sesame seed oil. I hate sesame seed oil. It gives me headaches. It turned out that Freshia is a Korean super market, hence the overwhelming smell of sesame seed oil. I bought my milk and left as quickly as possible before my newly developing headache got any worse.
Stupid Dell Precision 360, It Sucks!
It needs a floppy to boot up. Two of the three floppies I grabbed were bad. The good one had something on it, but I don’t care. Whatever it was, I’m not going to be able to retrieve it anyway. Then it gave me keyboard failure errors. Tried a MacAlly keyboard, and that didn’t give me the error, but the keyboard still didn’t seem to work. Argh. I can’t reboot because the keys aren’t responding, and I can’t install Windows XP because I don’t know why. Probably because… the keyboard isn’t working. ARGH.
Moo Cows, Horses, and Rabbits at the Orange County Fair
Today, I went to the Orange County Fair with my sister and a few of my friends. I was hoping to go earlier in the day since it’s easier to do things at home in one continuous chunk rather than having it broken up throughout the day, but oh wells. It was interesting seeing all sorts of animals, but I didn’t think the animals were too keen on being tied up and unable to move about freely. I felt rather sorry for them.
I didn’t stay too long, mainly because I needed to get home and do my laundry before my mom went to bed. There are other things I wanted to do, but unfortunately, having my day broken up in a bad spot doesn’t work well for me. At least I got a few pictures. ^^;
Too Warm to Sleep
Argh. I woke up around 3 am. Tossed off my blankets, I got too cold, and had put my blankets back. I get too warm again, and toss off my blankets yet again. I tried reading a book, I tried playing some video games. It’s just one of those nights where it’s too warm to sleep. :( I’m gonna try some camomile tea and go to bed again.
Ugh…
Revenge of the milk… Ugh…
For Dinner Tonight
For dinner, I had my usual natto (fermented soy beans) with green onions, mekabu (seaweed) with ume flavoring, hiyayakko (cold tofu with chopped green onions and bonito flakes), non-homogenized whole milk (half cup), kefir (half cup), and kimchi (Korean fermented cabbage). I’m stuffed now! I also took 3 soft gels of flax seed oil, 1 soft gel of fish oil, and a pill of GNC Triflex.
Now to go take a shower.
Ready Harry Potter At Night…
With people dying left and right in the book, it’s rather creepy reading it at night. I’m a little scared.
Mitsuwa Summer Festival
This year was more of the same from last year, except they had pedometer contest and a karaoke contest. The pedometer contest was kinda dumb. They had adult contest and a kiddie contest. The contestants just ran in place as fast as they could. Meh. As for the karaoke contest, they had a panel of 3 judges. I didn’t really stick around to hear what the results were.
I went with my friend Franklin on Saturday. It was more of an accident. I wanted a partner in crime for taking pictures at the butcher shop. On our way there, I passed by Mitsuwa and saw the summer festival stuff. I wussed out on taking pictures at the butcher shop. Instead, I bought 2 bottles of German beer and a bag of potato chips. Oh well. At the natsu matsuri I ate an okonomiyaki. It was okay. Better tasting than the one Gaja made at the Bridge USA natsu matsuri about two weeks back. Definitely not as good as the ones I can make at home.
On Sunday, I went with my mom. She wanted to go. I had a soft cream while my mom had a matcha azuki shaved ice. Too bad my soft cream was vanilla and not green tea flavored, that would have been yummy. :9 Before we left, I bought some matcha iced tea for 2 for $3. Cheap! On our way back to the car, I saw an incredible sunset and I just had to take pictures of it. Unfortunately, the pictures didn’t turn out too well. (Wrong setting! Gah!)
