I love ‘Hanayome wa yakudoshi!’. The standard Japanese fluff that I occasionally love. I only managed to catch the last few episodes on KSCI, so I rented the DVD from Video Japan to see the beginning. Tonight I finished episode 4, or ‘momo 4’ as the series likes to call it. ^_^ The main character is very cute and spunky. The main male character looks rather cute, too, but he kinda looks like he has eye liner going around his eyes. Actually, I thought he looked kinda funny at first, but after watching more of the story unfold, he became cute.
A Quick Painting
A New Monitor For Me!
I bought an Apple 20″ Cinema Display. It’s nice. I like it. It gives me less eye strain and that’s what I want. My wallet, however, is saying ouch right now.
Ants and Flying Ants
Ugh, there is an ant infestation in my bathroom. They’ve chewed a hole into the wall and I see ants marching out. Mostly normal ants, but quite a number of ants with wings. They were hanging out in my bathtub last night, too. I washed them down into the drain (I’m sorry! I hope you guys have a better life next time! >.<; ).
Farewell, My Cute Shinta~
Shinta passed away earlier today. Laura found him lying out in the sun going through seizures of some sort. She rushed off to get some water to help cool him, but when she came back, he was gone. ;_; My mom hopes that in his next life he’ll come back as a human being. I hope that in his next life it much better than this one.
Operation Smile Donation
I was watching TV and I saw a programming on Operation Smile… These poor kids with cleft lips and palettes being shunned by the people in their village. It’s rather unfair when you compare my life with theirs. I live in luxury. Thus I donated money. I’m not so helpless anymore.
Spiderman 3 the Game Wrap Party
The SM3 wrap party was at the House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard last night. I guess this means the SM3 game is finally finished. Woohoo! ^_^.v But I made Dave angry when I kept on talking to people. >.<; He wanted to leave early. :(
Women in Games Mixer
There was a mixer for Women in Games International at El Torito next to work today. It was pretty cool, but really crowded. We played a little bingo game where each person had to walk around and find a person that fit the description in the box. Some of them were easy, while other descriptions were harder. The easier ones were something like, has been in the industry for 3 or more years. The harder ones were like recently bought a house. One lady I talked was a head hunter. She asked me what I did and I said I was an artist and she immediately whipped out her business card and pamphlet. I took them rather hesitantly. :\ I don’t want to be head hunted. :( As for prizes, I got a deck of Pirates of the Caribbean playing cards. Kick ass. ^^
Ultra-what?
I finally got around to watching the Ultraviolet DVD I rented a while ago from Netflix. Yeah. It was the cheese, and not in the good way. What did I expect? It has only two stars on Netflix and a 7% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Hot Fuzziness
Last night I saw Hot Fuzz with a few of my coworkers and Dave. Originally, it was going to some tennis, dinner and then movie, but the tennis courts were wet. I can’t play that much anyways because my right foot is hurting now, so my plan was to mostly watch the usual gang play. Since we can’t play on wet courts, we skip ahead to the dinner part. Three people are in (including me), one person bails on us for a jacuzzi (wait, aren’t we invited, too?! lol), one guy has to work, and another person we manage to get to come out for dinner, but not the movie. Looking at the clock said that we would have to jet to the theater and eat around there in order to make it in time. Somehow we manage to kidnap and convince (not much work involved) the one who was only joining us to eat to watch the movie with us. We buy the tickets and then go eat dinner. While at the restaurant waiting for food, we see a bunch of other coworkers walking by. I call up my friend in that group and ask him to hold us seats. He does, and I owe him Dr. Peppers and cookies and stuff now. The movie theater was packed. Like, wow. How did I like the movie? I liked it, a lot. It was pretty funny. I will have to see Shaun of the Dead since it’s made by the same people.
